The Flute ’n Feather Arts Foundation hosted an inspiring in-person event titled “YOU MATTER – A Talk with Abi and Becky” on April 25, 2025, at the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, WA. The session brought together two remarkable women – Abirami Iyer and Becky Miller – who shared their personal and professional insights into breast cancer recovery and women’s empowerment.
Abirami Iyer, a breast cancer survivor and Senior Program Manager at Microsoft, delivered a moving message centered on emotional resilience, advocacy, and the importance of support. Raised by a single mother and shaped by personal hardship, Abirami champions the message “YOU MATTER” through awareness talks and community outreach. She was recently crowned Ampowering Mrs. Elite Universe America 2024–2025, further amplifying her voice as a leader and role model.
Joining her was Becky Miller, a Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 14 years of experience in lymphedema and oncology rehabilitation. Since 2016, Becky has devoted her practice to guiding breast cancer patients through survivorship, combining clinical expertise with empathy.
Together, Abi and Becky led an open-hearted dialogue on:
- Navigating emotional and physical recovery after breast cancer
- Tools and practices for sustainable wellness
- The power of community and storytelling in healing
The evening was a celebration of strength, healing, and the voices of women, drawing attendees into a space of learning, compassion, and empowerment.
