On Saturday, May 10th, Flute ‘n Feather Arts Foundation hosted “Bridging the Gap: Turning Tension into Trust,” an impactful and timely workshop aimed at parents of teens and young adults – particularly within the Desi community. Held at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Fairview, TX, the event drew a full house of engaged participants eager to strengthen their family relationships.

Led by renowned therapist Payal Punatar, the session provided a safe, insightful space for attendees to explore the complexities of generational and cultural differences. Through relatable stories, expert guidance, and actionable strategies, participants learned practical tools to improve communication, reduce tension, and foster long-term trust with their children.

Due to high demand, especially from those outside the Dallas area, a listen-only Zoom option was offered to accommodate remote participants. This helped extend the event’s impact beyond its physical location, bringing much-needed conversations on parenting and cultural dynamics to a broader audience.

Key Takeaways
